--NEW-- Mojito's Tropical Cafe - $8-12   Latin/Caribbean - Vista
Great option for Latin/Caribbean fare downtown.  Cuban Sandwich, rice and beans, and fried sweet plantains are just the start!   Full bar with great atmosphere right in the heart of the vista.   Great option for lunch or a nice dinner out.  Get there!

Blue Cactus –  $6-10 – Korean and more - 5 Points
Eclectic menu; Korean, Mexican, curry, and even Chinese.  “Arrogantly slow” is their motto.   They also have ice cream; green tea and red bean flavors are a unique treat.  Plan on a long easy meal w/ friends at this place.

Old San Juan - $8-15  Puerto Rican.  Two Notch (NE)
Family owned and operated.  Very clean, nice, simple atmosphere with great pics of Puerto Rico.  Great rice and beans, Mofongo, and the Cuban sandwich is incredible and easily split between two people.

Real Mexico - $8 - $15   Mexican.  Bush River Rd.
Thanks to Cindy and Mike for the reminder about Real Mexico.  I visited there several years ago and enjoyed the Mole Chicken.   Again, I was encouraged to walk in and be the only white folk in the place.   Family owned, the service was great, though the salsa at the time was just okay.   Cindy recommended the Sante Fe Chimichanga.  You're going to have to ask for it, though.  It's not on the menu.

Mi Pueblito - $5 - $8  Mexican  West Columbia
Went for the tacos and keep going back for the tacos!   Authentic tacos; barbacoa, lengua, pollo, el pastor, etc.   Very good fresh salsa and lots of more authentic mexican dishes with a good selection of Mexican beers.   Every time I've gone, my table has been the only gringos in the place.
